Yes, young people CAN die from pneumonia. The elderly and young children (6 and under) are more susceptible to death, but young adults can die from it. It's uncommon nowadays unless you live in a third world country. Pneumonia is when the lungs are filled with fluid. I've seen it from the inside and it does look TERRIBLE! My lungs were hurting just looking at the disease.
But it's curable and Cody is young, so there isn't any need to be too upset and scared.
And yes, lying down and drinking fluids can cause pneumonia.
