Jump is a game i have been working on for some mounths now.
It is a non-online,platformer,puzzle-adventure game.
Your a stick character lost in a strange maze world(platform maze)
The game Introduces new enemys, objects and challenges along your journey back to Stick figure land.

I has a complete and helpful tutorial and the controls are easy to learn.(This is only a small Part of the game,I cut out all of the options and features the real game has)

2.96MB
Download Jump tutorial executable

It may not work for all users,Because i have only had 2 beta testers.
I am open for ideas.I will get pictures of the real game later...That is if i dont get lazy.

I am also using my most favorite hosting site, Website with a name im not sure what it is yet,You rock!
not bad I like it, the only thing I think can be improved is the block sprites, but that's it

I can help you if you want
I liked it. Im ready for the full on game. P.s. how you make it?

he made it with game maker(I just know these things XD, but he did make it with game maker)
It was made by Gamemaker 7 regestared(pro)
Yeah,The really non-demo version has better sprites than this one does.
(I just know everything XD, but I do know everything)
OOH! I use GameMaker 7 Pro! Checkin this out now, and if I see as much potential as I suspect I will after having talked to you about various programming stuff I may enlist your help! ;D

*downloads*

EDIT: Not bad at all, you have lots of potential. I've done/seen some more advanced stuff, but I'm far too impatient and have hit a roadblock whereas you seem to have the ability to keep learning more and more until you reach the point of becoming pro. I'd love to work with you on the design front if you'd be willing.

Pretend my vote is a 4.5 lol
Gamemaker? I have never used a game making program. Idk why, but I prefer to do it all from scratch. I suppose that is an antiquated idea, doing everything yourself, but I prefer to. lol

And hmm.... I want to play this but before I waste time downloading it will it work on a Mac? (I suspect it will not) I don't really want to fire up the pc right now...
we should just have an official thread for discussing game maker, and I have both, Game Maker(Lite) on pc, and Game Maker Pro on Laptop, cause my computer won't let me download it, even though I have purchased it(it won't bring up the upgrade page)

EDIT: Wouldn't it be funny if we all ended up working on a big project?
I suppose.
But we could actually do alot if we work on a project togeather.
I definantly agree to the idea.
Yeah, it would be fun.

Just I am not a big fan of game makers like I said.
Definately...Zero, are you a spriter?

And Herm, game makers quicken the process, so while developing from scratch is useful in many ways, you have to understand that in today's society there are deadlines and stuff.

Of course, we're not professionals looking to meet deadlines, but in this case it's just good to have a common program to work with that we all actually know how to use =P

sort of... I can make decent sprites with shine and shade, and some good sprites.

anyway, I'm more of a programmer, than a spriter.

So like, if we do this, what will the game be like?

I do understand that, but if there are NOT deadlines, which there are not for me as I do it all on my own, then I prefer not to use them. Writing the code from scratch means you can do anything, there are no model/structure restrictions. It is like Ruby and Rails. Rails makes using Ruby faster, but causes restrictions.
Yeah but like I said, in this instance it's just good to start with some common ground.

@Zero, crap...we need a spriter =P

Well I dunno what kind of game we'd be making, if I get a general idea of what you guys want to do though then I can get working on designs. Error, have you had much success with D3D funtions yet or no?

sadly, I was going to get into them the next time I got on the laptop,

but really, I'm a so-so spriter, not terrible, nor awesome
