Anyone ever been on that animal crossing account from like megadoomer or something? Well on there, they have trade reports, which would tell a person if somebody was safe for trading or not.

This is how it works:
The items are traded.
If the person who you are trading with hasn't got a trade report, then you would make it for them. A trade report would consist of comments about the user and a rating out of 10 as to how smooth the trading went. Then, if people were unsure of if such a person was safe for trading, they could check a trade report a see if they were safe.

Man, that's a mouthful.

I believe that what you are explaining is essentially the Reputation System.

Yeah sorta, but after a safe trade, some may not give reputation. With trade reports, it's just one post to tell if you're safe or not.

That is a good idea. Maybe a modification to the rep system? However, I think the reputation system we have now is effective. Great idea though!
