Seems that people are concerned about double posting. If you can't edit your post and would really like to add something to it, you may double post. The double posting rule was originally established to prevent posts like
"Hi!"
"Yo"
"Anyone there?"
Written in one min to ten min intervals.
So, if you have something to add to a previous post, don't be afraid of double posting.

I thought it had something to do with the fact that if it was under a certain time line then it wouldn't merge.
Cheesegirl also mentioned that if we would like it merged we could PM her about it and she'd take care of it. Is this a reasonable request or should we not worry about it?

You can do which ever one you feel is best. To me it doesn't matter.
